Urgent: Children’s access to education is at risk

This #GivingTuesday, The Borgen Project is prioritizing education by working to pass the READ Act Reauthorization Act in Congress. The READ Act emphasizes the value of education for economic growth and social mobility as it promotes educational programs around the world. However, as of January 2023, 250 million children and youth are out of school. This number is extreme and increasing day by day. Without action, the number of children without access to quality education will continue to rise.

The Borgen Project secures meetings with congressional offices to discuss key poverty reduction legislation including increasing access to education, nutrition and global health programs. These programs are essential in saving the lives of millions as well as strengthening the health, security and economic interests of Americans.

  • Make a tax-deductible donation to support The Borgen Project’s strong network of volunteers that help shape U.S. foreign policy around efforts in reducing global poverty.
  • Make an online purchase that gives back by shopping from our Amazon affiliate page and have 4-8% of what you spend matched to our mission.
  • Donate frequent flyer miles, hotel points or gas cards to help us expand global awareness and civic education into more communities.

While #GivingTuesday is just one square on the calendar, The Borgen Project will continue to be an influential ally for the world’s poor in U.S. foreign policy decisions year-round. We are grateful for your support, not just today, but every day.
