Urgent: Our work on behalf of the most vulnerable is needed now more than ever.

This #GivingTuesday, The Borgen Project is prioritizing global hunger relief efforts by working to pass the Global Food Security Reauthorization Act in Congress. As of this month, 349 million people are on the brink of starvation. This number is extreme. In 2021, the population of the United States of America was 331.9 million people. Without action, the number of families and children going hungry will continue to rise.

The Borgen Project secures meetings with congressional offices to discuss key poverty reduction legislation including increasing access to nutrition, education and global health programs. These programs are essential in saving the lives of millions as well as strengthening the health, security and economic interests of Americans.

  • Make a tax-deductible donation to support The Borgen Project’s strong network of volunteers that help shape U.S. foreign policy around efforts in reducing global poverty.
  • Make an online purchase that gives back by shopping from our Amazon Smile page and have 4-8% of what you spend matched to our mission.
  • Donate frequent flyer miles, hotel points or gas cards to help us expand global awareness and civic education into more communities.

While #GivingTuesday is just one square on the calendar, The Borgen Project will continue to be an influential ally for the world’s poor in U.S. foreign policy decisions year-round. We are grateful for your support, not just today, but every day.
