Urgent: Support Needed for Gaza
This #GivingTuesday, The Borgen Project is advocating for urgent action to address the devastating humanitarian crisis in Gaza. We are raising funds to push for an immediate ceasefire, delivering critical aid and protecting innocent civilians and aid workers in the region. Additionally, we are calling for the restoration of funding and support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), whose services are vital for Palestinian civilians in Gaza and neighboring regions. With over 41,000 people killed, including thousands of children, and widespread destruction of vital infrastructure, the situation is dire. Our advocacy efforts aim to ensure that the U.S. government takes responsibility for the humanitarian crisis by pressing for adherence to international law and the restoration of UNRWA’s life-saving operations. Join us in supporting these critical efforts to bring relief and protect those most at risk.
The Borgen Project secures meetings with congressional offices to discuss key poverty reduction legislation including increasing access to education, nutrition and global health programs. These programs are essential in saving the lives of millions and strengthening Americans’ health, security and economic interests.
