I grew up understanding that the world is deeply unequal, that where you are born should not determine whether you have access to food, safety, or opportunity. That belief has never left me. I am volunteering with The Borgen Project because I refuse to be a bystander. I want to be part of the generation that actually does something about it. Poverty is not just a statistic to me;  it is millions of real people whose voices are too often absent from the decisions that shape their lives. I believe that advocacy works, that policy can change, and that one person speaking up can make a difference. That is why I am here, and that is why I am asking you to join me in supporting this cause.
