I am volunteering with The Borgen Project because I align with the organization’s values that no one should have to live in extreme poverty because of where they are born. Learning about global inequality and poverty has made me realize how connected our country’s efforts and policies are and how they can affect millions of people across the globe. I also wanted to be part of the organization’s efforts to raise awareness.
