I am volunteering as an intern for The Borgen Project because I believe that when individuals chip in a little bit here and there, we have the ability to create large amounts of change that can benefit the lives of all of those around us all the way from your next door neighbor, a person you pass on your way to work, to someone across the country/globe. I firmly believe when we group together around a cause such as poverty reduction, we can make tangible differences not only in the lives of those who receive aid but also in our own lives as the global community as a whole is bettered.
