Hi, I am Kayla! I am interning with The Borgen Project because this cause is not abstract to me, it is my family’s story. I am the daughter of Eritrean immigrants and I still have loved ones living in refugee camps in Africa, where access to clean water, food, and basic healthcare is not guaranteed.
