Hello! I am an intern at The Borgen Project, which is important to me because up until recently, I didn’t know what being in extreme poverty really meant. I like to consider myself someone who is fairly educated, and so when I learned that being in extreme poverty meant living on less than $3 per day, I was not only saddened because of how little that is, but I also questioned who else didn’t know about this. That is why I not only want to help spread awareness for the gravity of the situation but to also help improve it. People on the other side of the world that you may never meet are still people, and I believe that we should all want to make sure they don’t have to struggle to survive day to day due to lack of essential resources. So please, consider donating for those in need, because more people than you think are struggling. Thank you!
