Hello all! I am interning with The Borgen Project because for as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be part of something that makes a difference in people’s lives, especially for those who are unable to use their voices and be heard. I want to be an advocate for those individuals and their families. I am passionate about bringing attention to global and systemic issues by encouraging political leaders and policymakers to use their positions to create meaningful change for those in need. As a writer on the team, one of my responsibilities is researching and sharing information about global poverty with the goal of encouraging others to care and prioritize the stories of underrepresented communities in order for their voices to be heard and valued.
