I am a writer for the Borgen Project. Advocacy has always been one of the most important aspects of the stories I tell. Advocating with your voice for the voiceless is how we begin to make change. Witnessing extreme poverty in Costa Rica and Mexico has given me a closer insight into how important it is for a country like the United States to give as much support as possible to struggling nations.
