I am volunteering as an intern at The Borgen Project because I believe that political advocacy can help hold U.S. foreign policy makers accountable for global poverty. While domestic issues take control of the headlines, the U.S. has extraordinary power abroad, but it takes sustained and committed effort to insure that our representatives make global issues a priority.
