I’m volunteering with The Borgen Project because I believe that where you’re born shouldn’t determine whether you survive or the opportunities you have access to. Growing up in a world saturated with information about global inequality that is short on political will to address it, I felt compelled to stop being a bystander and start being an advocate. Global poverty isn’t an unsolvable mystery but rather a policy choice. I want to be part of the pressure that changes those choices.
