Poverty is a global issue that affects millions of people, and I want to be part of efforts to create meaningful change. Through advocacy and education, The Borgen Project works to bring attention to issues that are often overlooked, and I am excited to contribute to that mission. I am interested in global issues because the world is increasingly interconnected. Decisions made in one country can have significant effects on people across the globe. As a Political Science and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies student, I am particularly interested in how poverty, inequality, and human rights issues impact different communities. Learning about these challenges has inspired me to advocate for policies that promote opportunity, dignity, and well-being for people everywhere.
