I am volunteering at the Borgen Project because it has always been a burning passion of mine to help others. I have been involved in many volunteering initiatives and what I have ultimately learned is the impact one can have assisting in it is relatively small. In order for me to make a true impact, lobbying and advocating for proper use of funds to be allocated to global issues is the most efficient path. I am interested in global issues because these issues cause the standard of living to be significantly lower for people around the world and also present an inescapable cycle of poverty and death for people affected by them. As Uncle Ben from the Spider-Man series once said “with great power comes great responsibility”. We the fortunate have a moral duty to do what we can to help those who need it so let us work together, donate here!
