Is it hard to get an internship at The Borgen Project? Yes. With fewer than 10% of intern applicants hired (some years 4%), The Borgen Project has one of the more challenging internship programs… That’s the bad news. The good news is the organization has found very little correlation between tops students, top colleges, etc. and performance in the workplace. Academic success plays very little role in our hiring process. We encourage anyone with a passion for improving the world to apply. Compassion, positive attitude and work ethic are the main factors in our hiring decisions.
