I decided to volunteer with The Borgen Project because I want to make a meaningful impact beyond my local community. Growing up, I learned how access to education, healthcare, and opportunities can completely change someone’s future. Volunteering allows me to use my voice to advocate for policies that help people living in poverty and to develop skills in leadership, communication, and civic engagement. I am interested in global issues because the challenges people face around the world are deeply connected. Poverty, hunger, access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunity affect millions of lives, and I believe everyone deserves the chance to thrive regardless of where they are born. I want to better understand these issues and be part of creating practical, long-term solutions that improve lives.
