I am volunteering as a journalist intern for The Borgen Project because I’ve always had a passion for writing, and know that by volunteering for an organisation committed to fighting global poverty, I can hope to make a difference by raising awareness about these issues. Since the UK slashed its foreign aid budget from 0.7% of GNI to 0.5%, this has made me realise that more needs to be done to reduce, and eventually eradicate poverty across the world.
