What if I told you that according to an article published by the WHO in 2019 1 in 3 people globally do not have access to safe drinking water. It might be a hard stat for us to even really comprehend. But that is the grim reality for so much of the world’s population. How about the fact that children and youth account for two-thirds of the world’s poor, and women represent a majority in most regions. As an intern at The Borgen Project, I am trying to fundraise money to combat poverty and support some of the most vulnerable people. Any donations you can make towards this cause will go a long way.
