How did you get interested in global issues?
I became interested in global issues by keeping up with current events and studying international affairs in school.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I would like to help educate others on what issues face countries around the world today. Also, I want to do what I can to make a difference in my community this summer.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
This organization focuses on lobbying to Congress to pass various bills that can greatly impact and assist countries experiencing the effects of poverty. I have also learned a lot about various countries and the issues they face from reading the articles on the website.
