How did you get interested in global issues?
As I became a member of the University of Florida’s Young Americans for Freedom, I got interested in global issues. Through this organization, I dipped my toes in activism for the first time and realized that I loved trying to make a difference in the world.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am volunteering my time because I believe it is my duty to try to help those who can’t speak for themselves. It is one of the greatest privileges to live in the United States, and it is often taken for granted. Giving the opportunities living in the US gives me, I believe I should try to help those who aren’t as fortunate.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
In my spare time I love to write. I hope to one day be a published author.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. Those who donate will receive a handwritten thank you note
