I am volunteering as an intern for The Borgen Project because I believe in the importance of using the influence and wealth of developed countries to help those struggling in poverty across the globe. It is easy for those in privilege to live in ignorance of the poor in developing countries, and it is my goal to combat this privileged ignorance by bringing attention to global issues and supporting those who truly need aid.
