I am volunteering as an intern at The Borgen Project. I have seen the differences in wealth and items that different people have, and as such I feel it is necessary to help this less fortunate. Global issues such as poverty should be amongst the highest concentration for governments, as it is a fundamentally humanitarian issue. The ability to help this truly in need is a great cause, and with The Borgen Project I truly believe I can help those in need. As a global issue not only will The Borgen Project enlighten me to other issues, and ways to try and solve them, but it will also teach me more about some of the most complex and fundamental geo-political issues and questions, something which I have been learning about since I was 15.
