Name: Shreya Gaddipati
Location: Newark, DE
Position: Journalism Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I become interested in global issues since my work volunteering with various underrepresented communities and being informed of global inequality in health care, education and human rights. Since then, I have been passionate about closing these disparities.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am volunteering my time as I believe that the world’s poor can never have enough advocates on their side. I believe that everyone deserves fundamental human rights.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I am currently a biology major and journalism minor. I work with several non-profit organizations.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. $75 to cook dinner
  2. $100 to do your chores for a week
  3. $300 to run a marathon
