Name: Sathvik Kaliyur
Location: Saratoga, California
Position: Political Affairs Intern

Fundraising Goal: $750

How did you get interested in global issues?
I looked at the desperation people across the world are facing, and I have seen the wonders of western technology. Thus, I have been compelled to look into ways the US could utilize and spread its influence by helping the world’s poor.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I want to ensure that every person worldwide will be able to have the opportunity to thrive, succeed and live a good life. No human being deserves to suffer, therefore I believe we must help those who need it the most to lift them out of their crippling poverty. Thus, I am utilizing my time to help alleviate global poverty to help as many people as possible around the world gain a better life.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I am deeply interested in the study of history and the causality chains that have driven the human experience. I love to sing songs of all sorts, and I am deeply passionate and excited to do so. One can find me singing almost any time of day.
