Fundraising Goal: £400

How did you get interested in global issues?

Ever since the Greek economy collapsed in 2008, I saw what poverty can do to a family and I want to make sure it does not happen to others.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?

I believe if humanity did not have the mentality of “if it does not benefit me, I will not do it”, then people born in poverty stricken countries stand no chance of getting help.

Any interesting tidbits to share?

Interviewing refugees from Iraq, Syria and Eritria in my previous articles, has truly opened my eyes to the hardships many have to endure without anyone knowing.

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.

  • I will run 5k for every £50 donated.
  • Cook and feed the homeless in my area for £100.
  • Run 10k in a pink bunny costume for £200.
