Name: Rylee James
Location: Mesa, Arizona
Position: Writer Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I had to complete a research paper in class about Afghanistan. Through that, I learned so much about their issues, and other issues around the world. It really opened my eyes and got me involved.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I want to make a difference. There is so much hardship, and I want to provide my skills for the benefit of others.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I am currently writing a book with my friend, and I hope to publish soon! And, my favorite color is purple.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. For $75, I will clean your house.
  2. For $250, I will run a mile.
  3. For $375, I will dye my hair in the color of your choice.
