Ruxu Tang

Name: Ruxu Tang
Location: London, United Kingdom
Role: Political Affairs Team member

Fundraising Goal: £400

How did you get interested in global issues?
As I continue with my studies in political sciences, I realise how privileged my personal circumstances are. I wish to make an impact and apply all academic theories in practice.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Because I believe that the rich are benefiting from the suffering of the poor as they, consciously or unconsciously, abuse the resources by manipulating their financial and social powers.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I enjoy reading and learning languages. I play several musical instruments but am too scared to try to produce my own music.

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.
•Cook dinner – £75
•Babysitting – £200
•Pogo stick in front of my house for an hour – £250
