Name: Richa Khanna Guntreddi
Location: London, United Kingdom
Role: Nonprofit Leadership Team member
Fundraising Goal: $$500
How did you get interested in global issues?
From a young age, I believed humans, animals, plants, and ecosystems are all interconnected. Hence, caring for global issues is vital. If one region, no matter how small, such as a species of plant or a people from a country, are affected by a problem, we are all affected or will be. Take an example of how a war in Ukraine can lead to shortage of overseas aid to countries like Sudan.
Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Rather than viewing it as volunteering, I would see it as having the privelege to contribute my fair share for those who otherwise are deprived of opportunities.
Any interesting tidbits to share?
Perhaps, that Antartica has active volcanos.
