Name: Paulina Zapata
Location: Pittsburg, California
Position: Writer Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I was born in a country where poor people don’t have any opportunity, and sometimes the government doesn’t do anything to help them and they only get help from other people. People can make change. I want to be a part of the change.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Because I think if we work together, we can build a better world for everybody.

Any interesting tidbits to share?

  1. I am vegan. As Gandhi said, I believe “The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
  2. I like reading books. I love series.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. I will wash your car(s)
  2. I will cook dinner
  3. I will walk your dog(s)
