I have chosen to volunteer as an intern at The Borgen Project because I strongly believe that it is the personal responsibility of every individual to contribute to the global effort of addressing pressing issues like global poverty. I recognise that our developed countries possess significant resources, which also come with a greater responsibility and capability to tackle these issues. I firmly believe that addressing global poverty requires action at both the micro-level, through grassroots efforts, and at the macro-level, through national and international initiatives. By volunteering with The Borgen Project, I aim to play my part in making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by poverty on a global scale.
