Nicola Larter

Name: Nicola Larter
Location: Leicester, England
Role: HR Team member

Fundraising Goal: Hoping to fundraise at least £500

How did you get interested in global issues?
Meeting people from across the world who have been affected by violence, terrorism, poverty and a lack of education.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
There are currently around 795 million people who do not have enough to eat. Nearly 10% of the world lives in extreme poverty. Through raising awareness, mobilizing governments and institutions, and fundraising, the world can ensure that no more than 3% of the world’s population lives in extreme poverty by 2030.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I have two degrees in the Arts and I am willing to tutor anybody for free if they make a donation. I am also a volunteer tour guide at many heritage sites in the Leicester area and will also give any tours for donations.

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.

  • £10- tutor/edit for an hour in your subject choice.
  • £15- will do an hour of chores/errands for you.
  • £20- will give you a tour around a heritage site.
  • £100-will get a small/non offensive tattoo of your choice.
