Name: Nicholas Roberts
Location: Trenton, MI
Position: PR/Marketing Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I got interested in global issues after helping with the Sierra Service Project, who provide service to low-income communities. After helping those in need, it opened me up to help more communities that expand across the globe.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I wanted to volunteer my time to serve the world’s poor to help those that really need it. I would love to raise awareness of this issue and bring an end to it.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love boating, golfing, swimming and spending time with my friends.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. $2: I will send a video to a number, of your choosing, of me sending the recipient a high-five
  2. $5 – $10: You can smash an egg on my head
  3. $20 – $25: I will eat a jalapeño (btw, I can’t even handle Taco Bell Mild Sauce)
  4. $45 – $50: I will be a 1-man quartet and sing 3 songs of my choice in your front yard (but I do consider requests)
  5. $100: I will let you pour a 5-gallon bucket of ice water on me, and then I will walk your dog
  6. $250: I will give you a 1-hour tour of your hometown chauffeured by yours truly, with a complimentary ice cream (and deliver a freshly made PB&J)
  7. $500: I will, literally, jump out of a plane at 14,000 feet along with photo documentation (I am terrified of heights)
