Name: Nia Coleman
Location: Lake Mary, FL
Position: Writing Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues? I became interested in global issues when I first started studying international law. It opened my eyes to the various wealth disparities globally, and the ways in which even the world’s most divergent cultures remain connected.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor? I am volunteering because I genuinely believe that as an individual it is my due diligence to ensure that the world is a better place to live in for everyone in it.

Any interesting tidbits to share? I play guitar, I love stripes, and my favorite word is “flibbertigibbet”.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. $50: Give you an autographed photo of me!
  2. $100: Write you 5 personal poems.
  3. $250: Buy you a pizza and tell you I love you 100 times.
  4. $500: Perform a song of your choice, in an outfit of your choice (setting: private, karaoke, open mic, etc.)
