Name: Munyaradzi Mangwende
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Position: Human Resources Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
Being involved in various charity events and organizations since I was a little kid has helped foster my interest in global issues.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I see it as hitting multiple birds with one stone. Not only does it feel awesome to improve the lives of those suffering, but volunteering also efficiently helps America. By improving living conditions around the world, we facilitate friendly global ties and good economic conditions domestically and internationally.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I play college football at Case Western Reserve University. I can also do a really good Obama impersonation!

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. For $10, I will prank call anyone with my Obama voice.
  2. For $20, I will be your date to any formal event.
  3. For $30, I’ll pogo stick in front of your house for one-hour.
