How did you get interested in global issues?
I spent my junior and senior years of high school in UWC Dilijan, Armenia, where I made friends from over 70 countries. Global issues always bled into our conversations, leading me to understand that these issues were not mere accidents. They were a circumstance that stems from perpetuated actions and inaction of individuals.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am working with The Borgen Project as it stands for a mission that I resonate with: to use advocacy as a method of community engagement and create meaningful impact. The organization gives me a platform to speak up to act in order to decrease poverty rates internationally. This is a pressing governmental issue that needs to be part of more conversations.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I was born and raised in Indonesia. In my free time, I enjoy squash, running, baking and painting.
