Name: Monét Whiteside
Location: Charlotte, NC
Fundraising Goal: $850
How did you get interested in global issues? After taking a global politics course in high school, it inspired me to want to know and do more. As my old professor used to say, “When you know better, do better, do more.”
Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor? I want to do something about the problem that everyone talks about, but never does anything about.
Any interesting tidbits to share? I grew up watching the news as a kid. My dad said cartoons just rot your brain.
My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…
- Babysit/Dog sit for a weekend
- Be your wing woman any place, anywhere for a month!
- Write you a personalized song/poem/rap
