Name: Mitchell Drew
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Position: Political Affairs Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
From studying Political Science in my classes in college, especially in international politics, I learned about how fortunate I am to live in a democratic system that gives me the rights to speak out against issues.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
To make a positive impact on the world for someone in need. Not many people are fortunate enough to live in the United States, whether it is due to living conditions or oppression, the only way for their situation to be changed, is for higher power countries to become aware and involved.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I’m really into sports; I currently play college lacrosse. Some of my favorite things to do include watching movies, hiking and going to the beach.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. I will give a special shout-out for anyone that donates $10
  2. I will run a mile for anyone that donates $20
  3. I will cook dinner for you for $50
