Position: Writer Intern

Fundraising Goal: $700

How did you get interested in global issues?
My parents always stressed the importance of keeping up with national and global news, so I started watching the nightly news with them at a pretty young age.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
My greatest privilege is being able to go to school and study what I love. I want to be able to use my strengths to advocate for and help those who do not have the same opportunities I was given.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I am a book collector (or hoarder). I am pretty handy at sewing and I’ve made some stuffed animals for family members and even altered some of my own clothes.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. Play you a private flute concert, $200
  2. Be your personal assistant/chauffeur for the day, $250
  3. Cook (a) meal(s) for you/bake for a party, $75
  4. Write you a personalized poem, $10
