Matilde Salvetti

Name: Matilde Salvetti
Location: London, United Kingdom
Role: HR Team member

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I have taken an interest in global issues and global human rights ever since I was a teenager. As I learned more about the world, I also saw and learnt how people were living in pain, and I felt the need to use my privilege to have an impact. Ever since, I have gotten involved and advocated for multiple causes, from LGBTQ+ rights to the BLM movement.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Together with my family, we have always tried to donate to campaigns or projects set up in poor countries to help the people there. By supporting The Borgen Project, I believe that I have the opportunity of making a great difference in the world to help poor countries.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
Beyond having a lot of interest in global issues, I enjoy a lot of creative activities, like writing and drawing; one day I hope to write a book for children.
