Name: Martha Courtauld
Location: Cambridge, UK
Role: Political Affairs Team member

Fundraising Goal: $$500

How did you get interested in global issues?
Growing up in a multicultural nation, a lifelong interest in political affairs (probably due to needing to win every argument), reading books from around the world, travel

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I hope I can use my position of privilege in the world to not just be individualistic but to see the ways in which we can all help one another

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I used to be a bit of a swimmer and always thought I might swim the channel – maybe the Borgen Project is finally my reason…
