Name: Markela Payne
Location: Atlanta, GA
Position: PR/Marketing Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
When you have a big heart you’re always wanting to help others, especially such a severe issue such as extreme poverty and hunger.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Because I want to help make a dynamic improvement for those who are less fortunate. It starts with people who truly care and who are willing to work relentlessly hard to accomplish the goal.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
Yoga, meditation and spiritual cleansing, fitness, traveling, cooking, and reading.

  2. $100: Prepare and cook a lovely meal
