Name: Maria Reyes
Location: Cliffside Park, New Jersey
Position: Political Affairs Intern
Fundraising Goal: $1,000
How did you get interested in global issues?
The world is everyday more connected between people, and I strongly believe that is important to act as a community more than as a single human being. We are all together in the globe, and in order to act on it, it is important to understand it.
Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Because making an impact on a big issue always starts with the smallest and more “insignificant” actions. This is my way to contribute.
Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love traveling, knowing about different cultures, and I am extremely passionate about cooking and trying new things.
