Having had the privilege to grow up in an international community, I have always been acutely aware of global issues. Studying history has further motivated me to dedicate my attention and future career to addressing issues such as poverty and social justice. The rapidly increasing wealth gap is something that cannot continue for the sake of humanity and needs to be addressed. I believe countries such as the US and the UK, as well as individuals, have the responsibility to confront these inequalities, and I intend to contribute to raising awareness of this dire need
