How did you get interested in global issues?
I began to get interested in global issues when I was a part of my first missions trip to Guatemala in 2015. The trip was life changing, however, I knew there was more to be done in other countries as well, which is why I believe The Borgen Project is and will continue to make a dramatic impact to global issues.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I believe everyone deserves the right to have enough food to eat each day and to receive reliable access to human needs and supply. I want to use my voice to build awareness to this issue and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. We all want to see change in some way, and it has to start somewhere.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
During my free time, I enjoy baking, reading and spending time with my family.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. For a $75 donation, I’ll watch your children for the night.
  2. For a $100 donation, I’ll cook you breakfast (Banana pancakes is my specialty with eggs and bacon).
  3. For a $200 donation, I’ll clean your house..
