Name: Lauren Stahl
Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Position: Advocate

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I recently spent time abroad and worked with refugees. My time spent in other countries and with refugees led me to grow even more passionate about events and issues occurring globally.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am volunteering because I want to help fix the fixable and be a voice for those whose voices are ignored. By advocating for the poor to powerful countries like our own, we will be able to achieve a peaceful world in which everyone has opportunities.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love to read, go to the movies, go ice skating, and play board games!

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. $75: Give you a delicious dessert
  2. $100: Make you a warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream
  3. $200: Cook you a full course meal
