I am volunteering for The Borgen Project because it is time to address inequalities created by the current global order and play a part in global poverty reduction. Going to Sierra Leone in 2022 and witnessing the normalisation of poverty within the third world motivated me to do more to aid foreign poverty as well as research more global poverty relief campaigns. The acceptance of poverty as a result of the “thriving” capitalist economic order is disheartening and I believe that there is no better time than to create change.
