Fundraising Goal: $800

How did you get interested in global issues?
I found global issues to be a topic everyone should be concerned about. There are so many families and individuals being affected and hurtful things are happening to them, in which they do not deserve. Constantly seeing the amount of lives around the world that are in danger or are being changed for worse is what caught my attention and made me want to contribute to global issues.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I have always had a passion for giving out a helping hand. To be a resource for the world’s poor is something that I am proud to be a part of. The events that occur on the news or the ones people hear about are frightening and disappointing. I want to be a voice for those who are voiceless.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I have been playing tennis for the last six or seven years. I like to be creative from time to time, so I enjoy writing and being able to create a different world. An odd quirk of mine is that I really love even numbers, and I despise odd numbers. (:

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. I will make a gourmet meal of boxed mac & cheese for you!
  2. I will impersonate your favorite TV or movie character.
  3. For every $20 I earn, I will dump a bucket of ice cold water on my head. (:
