How did you get interested in global issues?
I became interested in global issues after traveling to southern China for summer vacation. Through my experiences, I learned to be more appreciative of my upbringing as I was exposed to the less fortunate lifestyle of those who are unable to receive a high school education or live in a home with running water.

Therefore, I became invested in gaining new opportunities to take part in campaigns for those in need.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am volunteering my time to serve the world’s poor because I want to use my voice to spread awareness for individuals living in harsh conditions. I believe that the United States should be extending more aid to help those across the world. Therefore, I hope to take part in a campaign to urge the country to do more in combating this issue. Poverty should not take away opportunities for individuals to succeed and live a healthy lifestyle. I firmly believe that any effort to combat global poverty is significant in igniting a positive change.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love to read, watch movies, and spend time with my family.

During the spring and summer, I love to take long walks outside with my best friend.

At school, I am a part of the Forensics Speech and Debate team. I am also a member of the Vietnamese Student Association.
