Name: James Delegal
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Position: Writer

Fundraising Goal: $750

How did you get interested in global issues?
I first became interested in global issues thanks to my middle school geography teacher, who emphasized the importance of global awareness. I continue to learn about important global issues and connections today, with help from teachers, friends, and family.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
By doing very little, we can make a crucial difference in the fight against extreme global poverty. I hope to convey that and contribute to our reaching a bit higher for the world’s poor.

Any interesting tidbits to share?

  • Most people know me by “Carter,” but James is my first name.
  • Other people may know me as the kid who shoots threes like Steph Curry.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. >$50: Make many baked goods!
  2. >$100: Cook dinner!
  3. >$200: Make many baked goods and cook dinner!
