How did you get interested in global issues?
I started to learn more about global issues after taking an international relations and politics class. My professor was very passionate about global poverty and providing aid to other countries. Through her, I learned a lot about these issues.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
It seemed to me that there was not much that the average person could do to improve conditions in impoverished countries. However, I learned that it is possible to create significant change through The Borgen Project; connecting with congressional leaders and writing articles (which I enjoy) to raise awareness about global poverty.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
A random fact about me is that I collect fortune cookie fortunes.
