Name: Jacob Nangle
Location: Wellesley, MA
Position: Writer

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I was referred to this internship by the career services center at my college (Wheaton College in Norton, MA). I have always believed the written word is one of our strongest tools for success and change. I want to bring my love for writing to the table and advocate for global poverty awareness.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
First and foremost, helping those who are impoverished is one of the most charitable duties us humans on the other side of that poverty can do. It is never a waste of time to help someone else and to lend a hand towards a greater cause. I believe through my writing, we can achieve that greater goal and really make a difference.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love to write; fiction, short stories, journalistic pieces. I’m an avid audio and cinephile. I also love to spend time with friends, laugh, hang out, and relax.
