Hannah Farnhill

Name: Hannah Farnhill
Location: Liverpool, United Kingdom
Role: Non Profit Leadership Intern

Fundraising Goal: £1,000

How did you get interested in global issues?
My interest in global issues started as a child when I realised there were many children across the globe living in poverty and could not understand why no-one had stepped in. My interest in global issues deepened as I studied history and philosophy at A-level. Now, I am more passionate than ever about about eradicating global issues such as systemic poverty; particularly after learning about the gradual privatisation of the NHS under Tory governance.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I’m volunteering my time to serve the world’s poor simply because poverty is unfair, unjust and unnecessary. I am also passionate about ending modern slavery which is interlocked with global poverty. To quote the engraved wall of The Liverpool Slavery Museum ‘an’ befo I’d be a slave, I’ll be buried in my grave an’ go home to my Lord an’ be free’

Any interesting tidbits to share?
My main hobby and part-time profession is dancing! I specialise in contemporary dance, voguing and commercial heels!

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.

•£75 – I’ll choreograph a dance specifically for you, to your favourite song and post it on TikTok
•£250 – I’ll get a small tattoo of your initials/favourite flower or animal on my arm
•£50 – I’ll give you a sports therapy massage for 30 minutes
